I’ve heard of manufacturing, business development, and support outsourced to India, but Parkinson’s care? The first time I heard it I though it was absurd, but the more I read about it the more it made sense. Now, forthright I realize this may not be the best solution for everybody, but I write about it so that others can throw that option in the ring when making decisions about care. (more…)

Friday, August 3rd, 2007The Michael J. Fox Foundation has just announced that $1.2 million dollars was awarded to four different groups to develop disease-modifying therapies.Â
The idea that I love the most, that just gets me excited are the people they have awarded the monies to. They haven’t sought out large, first-class companies or organization’s but they’ve broken it down to professionals who dedicate their lives to finding a cure for Parkinson’s. (more…)

 I love reading about people like Phillip Becket! Phillip was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in November of 2003 and had to quit his job as a bank auditor because of the condition. As he talked with others who had Parkinson’s he came to understand that many people around the world suffer from the same illness, and in order to help people who suffer (more…)
